What I did with my morning

This is Alec (friend of Devin): he can blow a mean bubble

I made an observation today. This is probably not news to anyone else, but 95% of the people at the mall during the day are moms. As I pushed my stroller from store to store, I noted that every person who passed me by was doing the same.

This is slightly creepy.

It’s not like I can complain, since I was indeed one of the culprits. Still, I cued up some synchronized swimming music in my head and pictured all of us stroller-ites pushing our little ones in tandem, swirling around in perfect harmony, flinging back our heads joyously while we pirouetted, one hand steady on the handle of the stroller.

Maybe they could clear away an area in the mall for just such an activity.

  1. Reminds me of one of those great scenes in the movie “She’s Having a Baby” where Kevin Bacon’s character imagines the same thing while cutting his lawn and seeing all of his neighbors doing the same thing.

  2. I think the same thing if I am out and about during the day other than the usual lunch hour. It seems to me there are alot of people who do not work.

  3. When I had time off with Riley, I noticed a LOT of DAD’S staying home.(strolling in EGR) I wondered how these people were able to afford such nice houses and expensive strollers with one income.
