It never fails. Every time we have a trip planned, the days before it become a bit unbearable. I should be looking forward to our getaway. Instead, I fret over the fact that I have limited time to accomplish everything that needs to be accomplished before we leave. I hate scheduling things even remotely close to our departure day because any event seems to squeeze my schedule even tighter. I had a slight meltdown this afternoon — more than a week before we head to the land of sunshine — simply because I’m wondering if I’ll check off every item on my to-do list in time.
What I need to do is take a deep breath. Maybe even several. And then break it down into chunks. What I need to do is take tonight off and relax. Kick back and watch the TV, flip through some magazines…then get up tomorrow and tackle the list. Yeah, that’s what I’ll do.
